In Darfur over 200,000 people have died and over 2 million are displaced due to the civil conflict. Established in 2004, RI's Darfur program serves 410,000 of the most vulnerable-including more than 165,000 of the internally displaced and the communities taxed with hosting the displaced. Sector activities include health, nutrition, livelihoods, food security / agriculture, and emergency relief. All activities take a developmental relief approach via training or capacity building for local personnel and facilities.
